I recently made an online Lush order, surprise surprise, and decided this time I would try something new. This being the Lava Lamp bath bomb. This bomb creates a bright, vibrant orange colour to the water as soon as it’s splashed in. The purple dots on the bomb which are in fact cocoa butter slowly melt down to puddles of oil. The purple oil swirls around in the bath contrasting against the orange water giving lava lamp vibes.
The bomb is scented with orange flower, tangerine and Sicilian mandarin. A triple whammy of citrus scents. However I actually found this bomb gave a very subtle, sweet aroma to the bathwater. Not at all sharp or bold. I quite enjoyed this as I’m not a huge fan of overpowering orange scents.
Afterwards my skin was left feeling super soft thanks to the purple puddles of cocoa butter and the extra virgin olive oil listed in the ingredients. This is something I look for in a bath product – one that will not only be exciting and fun to use but will also benefit my skin. Lush always achieves this.
The only con to this product is the purple oil seems to remain on the tub when you drain the water. Nothing a quick wipe can’t fix!
This bath bomb similarly to the last one I reviewed – Frozen – retails for £4.25 which is expensive for one bath but worth it as a treat. And for bath time entertainment I’d say definitely listen to some groovy tunes. Lay back, watch the lava swirl and go with the flow.
Thanks for reading,

Love your review again 😀😀😀😀😀😀
I bloody love LUSH bath bombs.
They are expensive, but I usually have a shower rather than a bath, so it’s kind of like a “treat” for me!
I keep meaning to try and make my own though… I mean… they can’t be that hard to make…. surely….? 😛

I love Lush bath bombs! My favourite was Mrs Whippy, but they stopped making it years ago. 🙁
