This time last week me and my friend Sumi decided to meet up. We wanted to try out a relatively new coffee house in Gloucester. Well, new to us. We’d seen many people we know go there and it looked too good to miss out on before going back to uni. We both chose panini’s from the lunch menu which were served with rosemary fries and generous salads including pesto pasta! Bread, chips and pasta? Alright then! My panini had a cola ham and cheese filling. This was my first time trying cola ham and I was left somewhat disappointed. Don’t get me wrong – it did taste good. But it tasted like any old ham and not of the cola variety, sadly. Overall though it was a filling and very tasty meal and we both agreed we would go back there again.
After our lunch we decided to walk around Gloucester Cathedral aka Hogwarts. I love going to the cathedral as it reminds me of my school days having long Christmas celebrations in the cold, draughty air. Annoying at the time but sentimental now. I also enjoy being there because it reminds me of my love for Harry Potter as some of the Hogwarts scenes were filmed here. Every time I go it makes me want to reread all the books and watch all the films immediately, but I’ll wait until Christmas at least. It’s also nice to just admire the architecture of the building and the stain glass windows filtering in coloured sunlight. It really is beautiful.
We both had a good catch up and went home with very full stomachs lol.
Have you been to Hogwarts?
Thank you for reading,
LindyC
